Rova Management Portal

The Rova management portal is a fully-secure web based administration tool that handles all aspects of VPN deployment, management and administration

The portal is comprised of two parts: a Web Server (built on Microsoft IIS) and a database server (built on Microsoft SQL server). The client checks in to the Rova server, logging information to the Rova database through the Web server.

End users initially access the Rova management portal to register and download everything they need to securely connect to the corporate network. The download process delivers a fully configured client eliminating the need for live technical support, mailing CDs, user manuals, or other time-consuming deployment tasks.

The download typically includes the Rova client, the VPN client (Cisco, Juniper, Microsoft, etc.), personal firewall software (Sygate, Zone Alarm, etc.), anti-virus software (McAfee, Norton, etc.) and any other software the company determines is necessary for a remote user to have.

The end user is able to periodically check his account to review usage, cost, software upgrades and other useful reports.

The Rova management portal is a powerful and flexible tool for network and IT administrators to add and delete users, assign user groups and set privileges. The policy enforcement capability works with the integration of industry leading commercial firewall products and with Rova's own native policy enforcement.

Policy enforcement occurs during software installation and upon user connection.

A key feature is the ability to distribute and update any software on the user's machine at any time, including in "locked down" environments where the end user may not know the administrator level credentials that certain software packages require.

The Rova management portal allows IT administrators to define their unique virtual network by combining the services of carriers and Internet Service Providers to meet coverage, cost and quality requirements.
